Paediatric clinical practice guidelines

Refer to The Royal Children’s Hospital website to view the statewide paediatric clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) developed by the Paediatric Improvement Collaborative (PIC). Most of the CPGs have been PIC endorsed for use in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

About the Paediatric Improvement Collaborative

In July 2018, the Paediatric Improvement Collaborative (PIC) - a joint initiative of The Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne, NSW Agency for Clinical Innovation, Clinical Excellence Queensland and Safer Care Victoria - was established to provide safer and better care for children across the three states.

The Paediatric Improvement Collaborative aims to reduce unwarranted variation in clinical care by developing, endorsing, publishing and promoting evidence-based paediatric clinical practice guidelines. These outline best practice clinical management of high-volume and high-risk paediatric clinical conditions. It is hoped the collaboration will become a national entity over the next few years.
