The Victorian Clinical Council provides leadership and independent advice to the Department of Health and Human Services and Safer Care Victoria on how to make the health system safer.
During each meeting, the council considers a topic of focus. Topics are recommended by SCV, the Minister or the department, or chosen directly by the council or the executive committee during quarterly meetings.
The council develops recommendations for each topic which are presented to SCV and the department Secretary to endorse and action.
