Amanda is an endorsed enrolled nurse with post graduate diplomas in community case management and frontline management, now working in the quality and innovation field as an Improvement and Innovation Advisor. Her background includes working within the aged care sector both as a clinician and manager. During this time, Amanda developed a keen interest facilitating change that improved the lives of people living in residential care.

She has more than 20 years of experience within the public health sector and since 2016 has progressively transitioned into quality improvement roles. She commenced full time as an Improvement and Innovation Advisor in 2018.

Recent highlights

  • Coached the Improvement Patient Flow through Coordinated Discharge Project
  • Facilitated improvement initiatives in the residential aged care facilities and achieved implementation of the Assessment and Care Planning Framework
  • Participated in the SCV Improvement Science in Action Course
  • Commenced in the SCV Improvement Coach Program.

Why I do what I do

“During my clinical years I experienced frustrations when people didn’t achieve optimal outcomes due to poor systems or system failure.  Working within the improvement field enables me to work alongside others to assist in identifying the issues and improving outcomes.”
