Gurnit started her career in Management Consulting and moved through a number of different job roles and industries including Services, Telecommunications, Construction and Retail.
Gurnits start with Mercy Health in 2017 was her first introduction to the health industry. Gurnit has since worked on a number of different projects across both of Mercy Health’s campuses – Mercy Hospital for Women and Werribee Mercy Hospital.
Gurnit is passionate about helping businesses transform, improve, grow or simplify with a shared purpose to improve the outcomes or experience of our patients.
At Mercy Health Gurnit oversees the innovation and improvement initiatives across Health Services, execute innovation and improvement initiatives, coach project leads and project teams and build innovation and improvement capability in their team members.
Recent highlights
- Developing and Implementing the Mercy Innovation and Improvement Framework and supporting Methodology called Always Improving at Mercy (AIM).
- Implementing the RiskMan software across Health Services to manage Incidents, Feedback and Rapid Response calls.
- Leading the implementation of the Safer Baby Collaborative at Werribee Mercy Hospital.
- Implementing a Daily Operating System (DOS) at Werribee Mercy Hospital.
Why I do what I do?
I am passionate about bringing my skills and experience from outside of Health to Health. I want to contribute to meaningful change that improves the health outcomes of members in the community that surrounds me.
