Aim
To improve sexual safety in participating mental health inpatient units by 30 December 2024 by:
- decreasing the rate of sexual safety incidents per 1,000 bed days by TBA per cent
- increasing self-reported experience of sexual safety by TBA per cent for consumers, their carers, families, supporters and staff.
Scope
- Victorian mental health inpatient units
- All ages – adolescent, adult and aged
- Forensic mental health inpatient settings
Out of scope
- Community bed-based mental health services
- General hospital wards
- SECU
- Mother and baby units

December 2024 - Stage 1: Pilot over 18 months
