Professional biography
Summary of professional experience
I have extensive experience in both clinical and community support roles, also A/Regional Director and Clinical Manager within AV. Throughout this time I have been responsible for undertaking in depth case reviews of clinical variations and sentinel events across the Gippsland and Metropolitan region.
In addition to this I am a member of the SCV Clinical Council, have undertaken the SCV Root Cause Analysis training and have completed my Masters Specialist Paramedic practice, with a number of elective units from the public health stream, including Principles of Healthcare Quality improvement.
I have broad experience across small and large rural health services and have worked collaboratively with large tertiary hospitals on projects including the AV (STEMI) Cardiology Consult Service and Pre Hospital Thrombolysis program.
I have a background in vocational and tertiary education and have held specialist lecturer positions at Monash University and ACU.

Summary of incident review experience
As Clinical Support Officer I have been responsible for identifying, reporting and undertaking in depth case review on a monthly basis over a number of years.
These in depth reviews also included responsibility for making improvement recommendations.
In addition to in depth case review experience I have been part of several review teams during serious adverse events (prior to RCA methodology) and have undertaken the SCV RCA training.
