Professional biography
Summary of professional experience
I have 13 years extensive clinical experience in the areas of Neurosurgery and Intensive Care. Following this I moved into patient flow and Project Management roles that covered quality, safety and infection control. I have five years experience as Nurse Unit manager and Hospital Co-ordinator before moving into Senior Executive roles. I have been a Director of Nursing for six years as well as holding the General Manager role (in a dual) capacity for most of that time, in a 75 bed Medical/Surgical and Oncology facility. I moved to a larger facility in February 2018 and as the Director of Nursing I have oversight of the quality and safety program and drive initiatives and enthusiasm in our facility with passion and determination.
As the Director of Nursing in Healthscope's largest acute facility, I take my role and responsibility as a clinical leader very seriously and my driver is to ensure that we are always striving to deliver optimal outcomes to our patients every time.

Summary of incident review experience
I have broad experience with critical systems reviews across medical and surgical disciplines.
Daily I review, critique and examine patient journeys as a result of clinical or near miss incidents. I am well regarded within Healthscope as a senior clinician and driver of quality and safety programs and initiatives in order to improve patient outcomes.
I sit on various corporate Quality and Safety clinical clusters and currently Chair the End of Life working party, nationally.
I am passionate about identifying opportunities for improvement and improving awareness of quality and safety amongst the clinical workforce.
