Victoria’s Mothers, Babies and Children 2016 presents key findings and recommendations arising from the review of births and deaths by the Consultative Council on Obstetric and Paediatric Mortality and Morbidity (CCOPMM).
The report contains comprehensive data on all maternal, perinatal and paediatric mortality and morbidity, with additional data on birthing outcomes. While the report enables the analysis of health information related to Victorian mothers, babies and children, it also highlights areas of clinical risk to inform practice, health policy and system planning.
This report highlights five high level priority areas and makes nine recommendations focusing on system level issues along with individual sections focusing on Aboriginal births and perinatal mortality, births, maternal mortality and morbidity, perinatal deaths,and child and adolescent deaths.
