The Maternity and Newborn Learning Health Network (MNLHN) aims to bring together consumers, clinicians, health service leaders, academics and other thought leaders to support quality improvement work to improve experiences and outcomes for women and their families receiving maternity care in Victoria.

Who should apply?

We're looking for 2 consumers with lived experience in receiving maternity care (ideally within the last 5 years), who can advocate for others and want to work with us to make sure that consumer experiences and perspectives are pivotal to all our MNLHN quality improvement activities.

Are you someone who is:

  • passionate about improving consumer engagement and participation in health care?
  • recognised for your understanding of the experiences of consumers in maternity settings and your commitment to improving safety and quality of health care in Victoria?
  • an effective communicator with strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills? 
  • identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, comes from a culturally and linguistically diverse background and/or resides in regional or rural Victoria?

  • to influence better outcomes and experiences for consumers receiving maternity care across Victoria
