The wellbeing of healthcare workers is critical to patient safety.
While looking after the mental health and wellbeing of our healthcare workers has always been important, the pandemic has made this an immediate priority for our health sector. Never has it been more important to care for your own mental health and wellbeing and for that of your employees, colleagues, family members or loved ones.

Our top tips for January
✨ Wellbeing for remote and rural healthcare workers - Working in remote and rural healthcare settings can be rewarding , particularly when you have the opportunity to stretch and expand your capabilities. But remote locations can also present unique job demands and challenges. The Wellbeing for the Bush booklet contains information to support your wellbeing, from managing stress, self-care, workplace relationships and communication to sleep, living and working remotely.
✨ How are you going? The beginning of a new year is a good time to ask yourself how you're going, how work is going and what you can do to replenish your wellbeing, energy levels and engagement with people and things in your daily life. Check in and tap into your self-care awareness today.
✨ Addressing occupational violence and aggression (OVA) - Every worker has the right to feel safe at work, to be protected from OVA and avoid significant and negative impact on their physical and psychological health. This 1-hour free and virtual training from the Victorian Department of Health will equip you with knowledge and techniques to address OVA. Furthermore, there are actions for post-OVA incident support that health service leaders, managers and staff can take.
